Primary
Key priorities include improving literacy and numeracy levels to reach
set targets and focusing on the well-being of all students. Students in
the primary years are provided with many opportunities to extend their talents
through both our curricular and
extra-curricular activities, including numerous
sporting events such as SAPSASA, School Sports Day and Interschool
Sports, instrumental music and choir for Years 4-7.
Assembly
Reception to Year 7 assemblies are held in
the hall, twice a term. These are used to recognise student
achievement and showcase learning activities that occur in the
classroom. Parents are welcome to attend. Specific days and times are
advertised in the school newsletter.

Parent Involvement
At Lucindale Area School we have an open door policy, where
parents are always welcome to observe learning activities in the
classroom. Listening to reading and helping out at special events are
also ways to become involved with the school, and are encouraged.
However, in order to be involved in these ways, it is recommended that parents
either have a current police check, or undergo a police check and be approved by the
Department for Community and Social Inclusion, in accordance with DECD
policy. It is also recommended they complete RAN training, which
the school provides each term.
